Red Hoof Brewing Company is inspired by the coming together of the passionate spirit of Istria, Croatia, and the vibrant culture of Catalunya, with Barcelonian urban vibes flourishing at the very heart of it all. It isn't just a brewery—it's a taste of laid-back Mediterranean life.

Red Hoof was founded by Luka Putarek, a young beer lover and professional, who has been working in the craft beer industry for over 5 years, in 3 different countries across Europe where he has explored the good, the bad, and the dirty of beer brewing. In his vision of Red Hoof Brewing Company, Luka brings the prosperous craftsmanship of Istria, his motherland, into the realm of the hot-hearted urban lifestyle of Barcelona, which he calls home in the present.

The goat, with its hooves stained red from the iron-rich soil of the Croatian peninsula, travels west. The Red Hoof Brewing Company was born in Barcelona to challenge the quality and diversity of modern craft beer. This is only possible through respect and taking care of the local community and the natural environment. Our goal at Red Hoof Brewing is to push the boundaries of good beer by merging tradition and innovation while maintaining environmental and social sustainability at the core of our work.
